Sands Point Design Wins Gold at 2026 LINLA Awards
We’re honored to share that Bayview Landscape Architecture has received a GOLD award at this year’s Environmental Enhancement Awards, hosted by the Long Island Nursery & Landscape Association (LINLA).
This year’s recognition was awarded to Overlook, a waterfront single-family residential project in Sands Point, NY.
Our team attended the February 26th gala alongside peers across the industry to celebrate excellence in landscape architecture, design, and construction. These awards recognize not only aesthetic achievement, but also thoughtful planning, environmental responsiveness, and long-term performance. We’re proud to see this work acknowledged at that level.
Our Winning Project:
Category: Residential
Award: Gold
Designed for a steeply sloping waterfront site, Overlook transforms complex topography into a cohesive, multi-level landscape. The project creates a series of distinct outdoor rooms that extend the home into its surroundings, while maintaining a strong visual and physical connection to the water.
A careful approach to grading, circulation, and material continuity allows each space to function independently while remaining part of a unified whole. The design also prioritizes framing expansive views and supporting the surrounding ecosystem, balancing performance with experience across the site.
Looking Ahead
This recognition reflects the collaborative effort behind every Bayview project. We’re grateful to our clients, partners, and team members who contribute to this work, and we look forward to continuing to design landscapes that respond thoughtfully to site, use, and environment.
