Glen Head, NY

This stunner in the Village of Brookville, New York, checks all the boxes for a resort experience in a private residential backyard. Careful design consideration was given to creating an outdoor oasis that’s equal parts comfortable for family time as it is for hosting large-scale celebrations.

The spa is nestled in beautiful lush garden beds to create a wonderfully tranquil experience while your muscles relax in the hot water. The pool runs perpendicular to the home, exaggerating the length of the property. Sun lovers enjoy the east side of the pool’s limestone terrace, while shade seekers find respite under a custom wood stained pergola on the west side. A stepping stone path through a water trough provides a fun travel route from spa to pool.

An outdoor kitchen shaded from the hot sun by a classic stained wood pergola sits adjacent to the home. The design keeps its balance by holding true to the site’s centerline. A fire feature on the upper patio is the first element you encounter on your way to the spa, where fire eases into water. Wide steps descend into the water for ease of use, and a spillway from the spa transitions from the upper patio to the pool level below, where linear fire elements frame the view.

A backdrop of majestic estate trees beyond the pool’s infinity edge are lit at night for a dramatic effect. Elegant lighting design and multiple fire elements create a seamless transition from daytime pool parties to glitzy evening events.
